The new Korean Ambassador to Nigeria made this public when he paid a courtesy visit to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu at the Government House Umuahia, the state’s capital on Thursday.
Lea In-Tae, a retired Army General, noted that Governor Ikpeazu is doing well in the provision of socio-economic infrastructure describing Abia State as the most peaceful state in Nigeria.
Governor Ikpeazu, while receiving the Ambassador, announced that the state government has taken delivery of the first set of shoe making equipment for full automation.
He said that 25 Abia youths would soon be sent to foreign countries to learn automobile engineering so as to fit into the 21st century vehicles, such as those manufactured in the Republic of Korea.
Governor Ikpeazu, who also informed the Korean Ambassador of the plans of his administration to establish an agro-industrial park at Ubani Ibeku, Umuahia North Local Government Area, said the state is looking forward to collaborating with the Korean Government in the development of the agricultural sector.
